There is a wonderful moment in one of my favorite movies Rob Riener’s “The Princess Bride” where Fezzick, Played by Andre the Giant is carrying three people up a rope scaling the cliffs of insanity while being chased by Westley, who is trying to rescue his true love the Princess.Westly is gaining ground and the character Vizzini, played by Wallace Shawn screams at Fezzick faster, faster he is gaining on us. Fezzick points out he is carrying 3 people besides himself and Vizzini screams at him “I’ll just have to get another Giant”
Right about now I think we need another giant. What I am referring to is the direction this blog has taken in the last week, I think we need to step back and give it some thought. This is directed at no one in particular but something is jumping out at me, and I want to comment on it. It seems that Kent/NG has told Renee some salacious things about himself. I want to address two of them, and put some perspective on them.
The first is that Kent has had a sex change and now has a vagina. Whether I believe it or not, is irrelevant because if it were true it would not be something I would not mock someone for. Having said that were it true, Kent/NG would never say it.
The second is the idea that Kent/NG has HIV and is spreading it through the use of prostitutes. Again let’s take a look at that. It is both illegal and immoral to out a person’s HIV status. The second part of that is just plain absurd. Kent has no income; He lives off his mother’s meager Social Security. Any reading of Kent’s writing makes it clear that he has no concept of sex, much less has it.What we are doing here is what Kent/NG and his child molester friend Nelson Garcia do. We see something we want to believe, and we act like it is true. We are in essence falling into a trap of lies. Let me explain: we know Kent/NG told a lawyer he had a brain tumor to cover for not having sent a tracking number for money he said he sent. We can prove he said that because he said it to at least three people. We can corroborate that.
Now I believe that Kent/NG said these things to Renee. The problem is we know he is a liar. He can not be the source for the truth of anything. When we can corroborate a lie, then we can use it.We simply cannot fall into the trap of saying his are truths because we want to believe then. You can’t for instance go to the police and say he is spreading HIV because he told me. You need proof. In the case of Ashton Ryan people went to the police with the fake HIV test he used, people he had given it too, and people he lied to about it, and had unprotected sex with. They still would not do anything. To go and say when they ask for proof “A known liar told me” simply will not do.
We can be as angry as we want with him but we cannot become him. Kent/NG Barclay and child sex abuser Nelson Garcia lie. We cannot and must not. It is a trap, we are better than that.

We do not need to lie. That is what Kent/NG Barclay and Nelson Garcia do. There are plenty of things we can prove, and do without sinking to their level. Just this week Kent/NG accused Rich Sternberg of being a drug addict, and HIV POS. He presented no proof, just lies. Rich Sternberg is in MA tonight filing charges. That is how we need to deal this evil. Not by saying that what he says is the truth, just because it is something we want to be true. So please let’s not fall into the trap of things we can not prove. It is a trap, and simply put we are better than they are….

ReplyDeleteKevin - I too appreciate this post. I have had some of the same thoughts, as probably have others, regarding this. I especially had the same thought when reading of him spreading HIV through prostitutes: How could he afford it? You mean he ACTUALLY had sex? Something seemed fishy in that story.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you also concede that you believe he told Renee all of these things, and, though I don't know Renee, I beleve she is honest, not a fabricator like some we know. SO if he indeed said these things to Renee, for whatever twisted reason he may have in his sick mind, even if every word is a lie does he not deserve to have his lies blow up in his face? If he indeed said these things he cannot truthfully deny he said them, even though he now says they are untrue. That is what happens to liars, their lies come back to haunt them.
I agree that if all of this is a figment of Kent's sick imagination we should probably not dwell on it. But I have no problem in her describing to us the sick mind of the creature known as Kent Barclay.
This is one of the best commentaries I have read in any forum. Its subject matter without saying so is argument and persuasion in writing; not quarrels, not verbal spats. Rather the statement of a premise and the evidence that backs that premise.
ReplyDeleteNone of us are fans of Kent Barclay. He is a claymoore mine--his statements are meant to take out the target and leave a tremendous crater.
I have two updates on the US Supreme Court story I wrote, regarding the PROTECT Act, the decision of which Barclay purposely misstated in his support for Nelson Garcia, the convicted sex offender. Nelson won't like that first follow-up story about the Attorney General of New York state getting the 3 ISP's to close off newsgroup chatrooms to the posting of child pornography. NG just lost one of his venues. When Dewayne posts that story and the follow up, you will understand why Barclay and Garcia become upset.
As for Barclay and a sex change, I am reminded of the Adrian Cortez, Stonie, now Brittney Cox going through a transformation (he/she opted to keep his penis so he could possibly revert back) seems to have gotten stuck in Barclay's head and this looks like a piggyback attempt, classic Damon, as opposed to anything original (a cobbed story from someone else, also classic Damon).
Barclay misrepresents and attempts to coerce others because, in essence, we are his sole means for acknowledgement of his person. Bottom line: Barclay is perverse and untrustworthy. Not a newsflash, just a fact.
No matter how much any of us try, we can't possibly be as sick and twisted as Kentie. And lets hope Renee gets that site up soon. This is the stuff that really scares Kentie. In spite of his insanity, he is usually sane enough to know when he starts screwing with the wrong person. Just look at his history with Dexx Jones. He puts up shit about Dexx...Dexx posts, threatening legal action, Kentie knows that Dexx aint' kdding, and down comes Kenties crap. Ill bet its the same with Renee and this Rich kid who wont put up with Kents crap either. Kentie be scared, be very scared.

Second all of you speculate on kenties monies none of know how much money kentie and babs actually have, it cant be much but it might have been enough for kentie to buy a prositute or two. they are fairly cheap in some areas of this country, and i am sure kentie knows where the worst ones that need the money the most live. So when you are sitting here thinking about his whole situation lets think about what kenties real motive was in all this.

I for one could not find my way to do trusting him in anyway. He wanted what you would call the scoop on H and J and i was not willing at that time to give it to him, so he babbles about all his personal business to make me tell him stuff about H and J. I for one did fall for this, I kept it all and never said a thing,but needless to say kentie had his reasons for throwing this out there, that would of been the big breaking story of Joe and Harlow. Which he should of realized then he was not gonna get.
Renee - Trying to analyze the motives behind Kent's doing anything he does is futile, probably, but what an odd way to gain your trust, if that's what it was. Could he not see that all of this, if it were true, would make you think he was sick, and if it weren't true, that he's never to be trusted? He's extremely stupid either way, in addition to being insane.

We can freely say what he said. Please, Please continue to do so. Let's just not make the leap into them being true.
Kevin - I agree with you 99.99%. However, if he is going to tell such an obscene story about himself like the HIV one "for effect," as you say, then in this one case we can maybe give him the benefit of the doubt. Because, as I said, either way it is evil. If it were true, much more evil, obviously, but even if not the fact that he would say something like that to possibly gain someone's trust is almost as bad, because it reveals some kind of horrible potential in his character.
ReplyDeleteWill and Kevin, Kentie said what kentie wanted to say for some future gain, except it backfired on him and he was outed on his own lies, but then none of us can prove that they are lies, unless we know something of his medical condition. Why would someone say these things about themself if they werent true, to make someone feel sorry for them. Either kentie has more severe issues then we all thought or he really is sick, if he is sick I believe that with anyone else that is sick with this disease that he needs help and should get all the help he can get, I dislike kentie but i would never wish any real harm to him, and this is a horrible way to die for anyone even him.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing i think kentie should do is come clean on this one. It is not fair to all the people that are sick and suffering to have to put up with a lie like this if that is the case. I just dont get the feeling that this one was a lie, I think he was telling the truth for once, and that is the problem so many lies have caused him issues and no one believes him now.

ReplyDeleteThese are very serious allegations. Even more serious should they stand to be true. I fully understand the emotional component connected to this very threatening situation which is not, sadly, unique at all to this community of ours.
However, it is vitally important not to contaminate the possible facts in this matter with he said, she said personalized attacks and retaliations from the past. It is one of the reasons that this particular crisis is so difficult to sort through and manage in a responsible, ethical and legal manner.
Instead, if there are facts and behaviors here which might assist our legislative councils and assembly's in debating and establishing meaningful and protective statutes in our respective communities and states, then they should be brought forward to the appropriate authorities so that thoughtful and meaningful investigation and legislation can begin.
As you can see by reviewing my referenced link below, there is not going to be an easy solution to this problem. Exercising restraint and practicing responsible dialogue will hopefully go a long way to providing assistance to a very difficult task which is before us all.

I believe Kent said these things. We know he loves attention, good or usually bad. Kent is mentally ill. Seriously, who the hell does he actually talk to in a day? I believe his loneliness and pathetic life have driven him mad. What nearly 60 yo "man" does anyone know that conducts themselves like this? He needs help but that isn't my problem.

ReplyDeleteHe never hired Anthony Holloway. Even if Holloway had been $1.98 an hour, Kentie could not have afforded it. And as wacky as Anthony was, he did have some standards.
But he did know Anthony. In fact, the story goes that Kentie tried to con Holloway into being a client, and Kentie would be his agent. He had David Forest-envy back then and desperately wanted to get some young thing under his fat and ugly thumb. Holloway, who was not the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree, almsot bit, but was inundated with emails from his friends telling him this would be a big mistake, one of those friends being Mark Adams, so he wisely decided against it. Another reason why Kentie hates Adams but thats another story. So is the fact that Holloway was also a crook, who would hoodwink many of his escort clients, and was notorious on escort sites. He disappeared from the industry a few years ago, and is believed to be still escorting (or scamming as the case may be) in Florida somewhere. Kentie still mentions him occasionally in his writings, hoping that Holloway will somehow hear about it and respond, but even Holloway isn'tt that stupid.
Yet another exciting Kentie story.

Below find the full article regarding the efforts of the New York state Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo, to clamp down on this issue from the staff of the Associated Press. This effort by Mr. Cuomo delivers the coup de grace (merciful deathblow) to Nelson Garcia and Kent Barclay. So much for their dire prediction of stifling adult film and legitimate theatre and artwork, including paintings, sculpture, drama, and fiction in trying to protect children from the predatory methods and motives of practiced perverts.
I also found an AP story out of Philadelphia, PA (quite the coincidence, considering Bryan Kocis' ephebophobia and the murder case in Luzerne County). That addresses the same issue at the Federal level. Use for a mash up or on your Kruezer at Night satire sight with my blessing.
Major ISP's Will Block Child Porn Newsgroups
ALBANY, NY (AP)---Online forums where thousands of child porn images are posted have been stricken from three Internet Service Providers (ISP's), including two of the nation's five largest, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday.
Verizon, Time Warner Cable, and US Sprint agreed with Cuomo to block access to child pornography disseminated through newsgroups and user groups, a difficult to regulate sector of the Internet designed to bring users together who have similar interests.
With Tuesday's agreement, Cuomo skipped over the untold number of individual users accessing child porn and went to the protals that, unwittingly they all say, provided the route to sharing the illegal obsession.
Cuomo said the ISP's blocked child pronography found in 88 newsgroups by his investigators. Newsgroups, a mainstay okf the Internet from its infancy, are essentially online meassage boards in which users can post text and files in any of thousands of categories. The companies also agreed to eliminate the material from their servers and will pay $1.125 million to fund efforts to remove child porn from the Internet.
The agreements follow a six to eight month undercover investigation of child porn newsgroups and will affect customers nationwide. But, Cuomo said, "Such online pornography is difficult to stop. When one point of Web access is closed, the same perpetrators are likely to open another. And his agreements with the online services end at the nation's borders. "The purveyors are very inventive and obviously a lot of this industry moves offshore very quickly," Professor Christine Corcos of Louisiana State University Law Center stated. "As long as the people who produce this material think they have markets, and the purveyors think they can reach that market, they are going to continue and the thing is they can just move to other countries to operate."
Cuomo's investigators found than 11,000 images in the newsgroups using software that identifies child pornography by tracking patterns in the pixels of the images. Cuomo said the companies acted immediately when told of the concern. The attorney general stated too many people post the pornography to prosecute them individually, so he worked to shut off the "faucet" they were using to share the illegal materials. Cuomo said, at a news confernce, "People are very creative and there is a market for this filth. We have to work together."
Time Warner Cable acted swiftly when it learned users were postin objectionable material and eliminated the newsgroups, according to corporation spokesman Alex Dudley. The company will eliminate all of those newsgroups by the end of the month, he added.
Eric Rabe, Verizon Vice president for Communications said, "Verizon acted immediately to shut down the sites and was never accused of wrongdoing,"
Sprint spokesman Matthew Sullivan said his company responded quickly as well: "We embrace this opportunity to build upon our own long term commitment to online child safety."

Lawyers Attempt to Revive Outdated Web Porn Law
Philadelphia, PA---Government lawyers tried Tuesday to revive a 1998 law designed to keep online pornography from children, amid questions that is significantly outdated and blocks too much legal speech while having no effect on content posted from overseas.
Justices of the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals hearing the case questioned the law's effectiveness, given estimates that half of all online porn is posted overseas, beyond the reach of US law. Free speech groups say the Child Online Protection Act misses the mark today because it does not cover chat room, such as YouTube and other interactive sites that emerged in the last decade.
Lawyers with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), representing Salon.com and other sites that challenged the law, argue that Internet filters block 95% of the offensive content, and can be set to match a child's age or parental judgment.

As we speak, there are members of the truth squad who are in the legal (as in LEGAL) process of taking good care of Kentie right in his own backyard, not that he has a backyard. Kentie has, after 10 years of this badgering and slander, met his match and is playing with players who arent going to sit back like the Florida people and put up with him. He can be found, he will be found and taken to task for all his dastardly deeds. We are definitely seeing a vast and fast meltdown, and it is wonderful to see.
